Anoushka Shankar
Anoushka Shankar is a British and American sitar player. She also plays music. She was awarded the British House of Commons' Shield in the year of her youngest and also the first female recipient. In addition to the nine Grammy awards and nine Grammy nominations, she also became the very first Indian-origin musician to perform during the ceremony live. Anoushka Shankar is among India's most promising stars on the sitar. She is both the daughter and student of Ravi Shankar. She spent her childhood bouncing back and forth from London and New Delhi. At the age of 13 when her first performance was in New Delhi took place. In 1999, she completed her high school studies at Encinitas CA. Anouskha continues to have a bright music and acting career, despite being young. She regularly accompanies her father during performances, something she's done for a number of years. The singer released Anourag her debut album on her own in 1998. Her Grammy-nominated Live At Carnegie Hall album was released in 2002. As she's appeared on every major stage in across the globe, she's stage career is extensive. The career of Anoushka doesn't only comprise the world of music. In 2002, she wrote an autobiography titled Bapi The love of My Live this is an illustrated biography that gives a special honor to her late father Ravi Shankar. in 2003 she starred on Dance Like a Man as the Bharat Natyam performer. Anoushka Shankar is currently a rising star and her career will continue to grow. Anoushka Shakar, who was born in England was a major part of her adult life in London Delhi. When she moved to California she graduated from her high school. At the age of nine, she began studying music under her father. She made her first on the sitar 4 years later, at his birthday party in Delhi. Anoushka has gained lots of knowledge by traveling around the globe along with the father. She appeared in Carnegie Hall in her teenage time, and also recorded at George Harrison's WOMAD Festival. Her artistry and musicianship was recognised by British parliament as the best in Asian Arts.
